A two-bedroom condominium in Yio Chu Kang where the road bikes are the artwork, mounted on a wall built for them.
The brief turned a storage problem into the centrepiece: a timber-framed recess with a perforated panel holds two bikes, helmets, bottles and a row of race medals, lit like a gallery and sitting directly opposite the sofa. Around it the apartment stays deliberately calm — pale oak slats behind the television, a white floating console, terrazzo flooring and only as much furniture as the room needs. The kitchen is an L of light oak drawers under white uppers, with a marble-look worktop and a black-framed window that borrows light from the living room; the built-in oven and hob keep the counter clear. The bathroom carries the same restraint: dark timber in the corridor, a frameless glass screen, and a mirror lit from behind.
